When the original version of this chest was made, craftsmen worked laboriously with chisels and knives to carve the ornate inlays. Today, they're cut with computer-guided lasers. Drawer hardware is solid brass, accurate to its original. The case is mahogany and the oval inlay is made with Sapele Pommele, an African hardwood, with a quartered mahogany surround. Made in North Carolina, it's part of the Albert Sack Collection.
