The original example of this ornate cabinet can be found at Henry F. Dupont's Winterthur Museum and dates back to the 1730s. The original was made in Albany, NY; the contemporary version of the Hardenbergh Kas is handcrafted and handpainted in the Phillippines. It is fashioned from solid mahogany.
