A breaking tree bough may wreak havoc with a lesser cradle, but not this one fashioned from black cherry and maple spindles. Black walnut dowels accent the mortise and tenon joinery. The cradle rocks to and fro on solid brass spindles. The trestle base gives the cradle extra stability and its keyed tenon makes disassembly and storage simple and fast. The cradle can be lifted out of its stand and used independently.
