Inspiration for furniture designs can be found in many places - including your mom's bedroom. This piece is based on a Victorian vanity bench that furniture maker Tom Dewey discovered in his mother's estate. If you need a seat in the garden, opt for the teak or white oak. Other wood choices are maple (shown) or cherry (slats are hickory).
