There's more to the lattice work on this white oak bed than meets the eye.
Quarter-sawing reveals the beautiful ray and fleck pattern of the hardwood. Each slat is notched horizontally and vertically to create a stronger joint. Pyramidal ebony pegs (which sit about 1/4" above the wood surface) accent the frame. The design is inspired Greene and Greene. Partially-raised ebony pegs were commonly used by these Arts and Craft's architects and furniture builders. Choose from a variety of stains, topcoated with varnish in gloss, high gloss or satin finish.
