Usually found on the back porches of 19th century farmhouses, this item was known as "water bench" and it provided a place for farmhands and dusty kids to scrub up before dinner. An inset shelf on the top provided a safe resting place for a wash basin and the lower shelf held the pitcher. This handcrafted reproduction is made from rough-cut pine which is harvested locally (in Texas). Joints are fastened with dovetails and cut nails. Choose from a variety of finishes.
