Made with black walnut harvested from sustainable forests, this cabinet blends elements of both American Arts and Crafts and Asian simplicity. The dovetail joints, final sanding and finishing are done by hand. The dogwood carvings are by California artist Terry Schmitt. The piece is designed and built by Debey Zito, a female woodworker whose career began 30 years ago, building bookcases in high school wood shop.
