Each Purple Cliff Chest by woodsmith Jeffrey Cooper takes seven weeks to carve and build. Made of cherry, the chest features ornate based on paintings from the Beijing Art Museum on each of its four sides. When closed, the chest's hinge and latch hardware is invisible. The top is made with a hollow core, to keep it lightweight and guard against finger-crunch.
