Topped with salmon-colored marble, this Renaissance Revival Victorian sideboard is made with solid walnut. A carving of an elk's head graces the middle, with carvings of fruit, leaves, rabbits, birds and more scattered about. Various panels on the sideboard are highly figured and outlined with molding. The finish is original, having been cleaned and polished. According to the company selling this piece, it was probably designed in the 1860s by Alexander Roux of New York City and is an unusual piece.
