From the Victorian era, this original Renaissance Revival Davenport Desk has six letter slots inside and a new fabric covering on the writing surface. The Davenport Desk was named after a British captain who commissioned the first desk in this unique design in the late 1700s. The solid walnut desk has burled panels, intricate carvings on the crest, front and sides. The back is also finished. The right side has three drawers and the left side has three fake (but realistic-looking) drawers.
