This contemporary mirror uses a refractive chamber and itty bitty lights to create the illusion of great depth. The mirror's frame appears to be stainless steel, but it's actually brushed aluminum which has been spun on a lath. The end result is the look of stainless without the weight. According to the artist, "the illusion [of depth] causes a hypnotic state for those who look into the abyss."
