Murphy beds were the butt of jokes in old slapstick comedies, entraping would-be snoozers in the wall. But these modern wall beds are carefully constructed and precisely balanced, making such antics unlikely. A "Deluxe Finger Lift" system allows you to open and close the wall bed with a single finger. According to the manufacturer, it's the same mechanism that's been used in hotels and resorts for more than a decade. Cabinetry is offered in a variety of woods and in several finishes. Choose from an innerspring mattress, air mattress or memory foam mattress. Other options include recessed lighting, slide out nightstands, complementing bookcases and more.
