The Orient is the inspiration for this cabinet, which as a place for everything that needs a place. Part of the Tansu Collection, this piece can be used to stow things away or display them with pride. A variety of options is available, including CD drawers, easily-removable doors and more. Tansu (a Japanese word for stackable, wooden boxes) were popular during the Edo period and were originally made for Feudal lords who moved from manor to manor. Originally built with softwoods (to keep them lightweight), these modern reproductions are made with your choice of American cherry, white maple or Honduras mahogany. After sanding, the wood is finished with clear, environmentally-friendly lacquer.
