This reproduction Shaker-style cupboard is handbuilt from scratch (starting with rough lumber) in a New England shop. For woods, choose American black cherry, tiger maple, birdseye maple or mahogany (or a combination of woods). This cabinet has dovetailed drawers, pegged joints and a handrubbed finish. Inside it has adjustable shelves with plate grooves. Extra shelves can be added for $100 per shelf. Faux finishes and handpainted finishes are offered, as are oil, lacquer and various stains. Pictured with wooden pulls, brass hardware is an optional extra.
